Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 27 June 1986. Russell talks about her early life in West Chester, Pennsylvania and Virginia and of her marriage and employment. She discusses her religious experiences and conversion to the Mormon Church, its impact on her present life, and her relationship with other Mormons.
